The book was A Child Called It by David Pelzer. It is about a young boy who was victim to Californias 4th worst child abuse case ever seen. I tried to focus mainly on the struggles he faced while being abused by is mother. This is depicted mainly by childhood toys that like childhood memories are supposed to be happy but they are not.
